Connection rate is the percentage of connection requests that are accepted.

Causes and what to do

1. ICP is too broad Prospects accept more often when the offer clearly fits them. A wide ICP means more irrelevant requests and a lower rate. Fix: Share more context with Max to refine ICP. Focus on your core industries and titles. Prioritize precision over volume. 2. LinkedIn profile is incomplete Prospects often check your profile before accepting. Thin profiles, stock photos, or very few connections hurt acceptance. Recommendations:
  • Use a real photo and complete headline, About, experience, and skills
  • Build a reasonable connection base (many teams aim for 200+ before scaling outreach)
3. Connection notes lack relevance Max personalizes notes from LinkedIn data, but vague ICP pain points and value props produce generic copy. Fix: In Outreach Strategy, describe specific pains and outcomes for your ICP so Max has sharper material. 4. Account health New or long-inactive accounts often get lower distribution on connection requests. Fix: Do not rush past Warmup—lower daily volume in the first two weeks is normal. After a restriction, ramp up again from a low baseline. Outside Account Running Time, stay active on LinkedIn manually (posts, feed engagement, comments) so the account looks naturally used. 5. Too many pending invitations LinkedIn limits how many outstanding invitations you can have. Above roughly 200 pending, new invites may not be shown. Fix: Withdraw invitations that have been pending for 3–4 weeks without a response.
