Reply rate is the percentage of accepted connections who send any reply. If connection rate looks fine but replies stay low, messaging is usually the bottleneck.

Causes and what to do

1. Message angle does not feel relevant Low replies often mean “this is not about me.” Product-centric pitches give prospects little reason to respond. Fix: In Outreach Strategy, lead from the prospect’s pain, not your feature list. Tell Max something like: “Open by acknowledging their situation, then bridge to how we can help.” 2. Follow-up cadence is off Too frequent feels pushy; too sparse gets forgotten. Acceptance varies by industry and persona. Fix: Test spacing and watch reply rate. Many B2B teams use roughly 5–7 days between touches. 3. Too few follow-up steps Many replies arrive on the second or third touch. A single follow-up leaves replies on the table. Fix: Ask Max to add steps—3–4 touches is a common effective range. 4. Wrong sending window If Account Running Time does not match when prospects are online, messages are easy to miss. Fix: Align Account Running Time with the prospect’s timezone. Path: profile menu → Settings → Run Settings → Account Running Time. 5. Strategy needs ongoing iteration Launching a Campaign is only the start. Review performance regularly and ask:
  • Are the prospects Max finds the right fit?
  • Does the copy match what you want—and resonate?
When something is off, adjust ICP or Outreach Strategy in the Campaign. Data shows which segments connect and which angles earn replies; narrow and refine from there. To test a new segment or angle, duplicate the Campaign, change only the variable you want to test (e.g. industry or value prop), run both in parallel, and compare results.
